Peach Ginger Iced Tea
- 2 ripe organic* peaches peeled, pitted and puréed in a blender
- 4 cups steeped green tea use loose green tea leaves or tea bags
- 2 tbsp very finely grated fresh ginger root
- 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
Steep the tea leaves, using very hot, but not boiling water.
Add the grated ginger to the tea right away.
Pour the peach purée into a 1 quart Mason jar or pitcher, add the tea and gently stir in the maple syrup or honey, a little at a time until you’ve reached the desired sweetness. Chill.
Pour over ice cubes in a tall glass or pint jar and enjoy.
